Vaccine
Policy
Shoals Pediatric Group follows the AAP vaccination schedule. We require patients to follow this schedule, and if behind, agree to a catch-up vaccination schedule. We do permit some spacing of vaccines, which may be discussed with your provider. Failure to abide by this schedule will result in dismissal from our practice. Please see our FAQ page for our vaccine schedule.
Telehealth
We are happy to offer telehealth appointments by phone on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in a telehealth appointment, please call our front desk to ensure your concern is appropriate to be addressed over the phone and to schedule an appointment. Of note, we only offer these appointments at the end of the morning and end of the afternoon. You are responsible for ensuring that your child’s insurance covers telehealth appointments, and you will be responsible for any co-pay or remaining balance from these appointments.
No Show
Policy
In order to best serve our patients, each missed appointment will accrue a $25 fee. We reserve the right to dismiss a patient family due to repeated no-show visits and/ or arriving late to appointments. Warnings will be given prior do dismissal.
Patient
Shoals Pediatric Group does offer a patient portal in which you may pay your bill, view an After Visit Summary, and message our office staff. To set one up, please call our office and we will send a link to your email.

Hospital
Admissions
Our practice does not admit directly to any local hospital, and we do not round on patients or newborns. However, we have close working relationships with the pediatricians who staff the two local hospitals, North Alabama Medical Center and Helen Keller Hospital. We will always help navigate the ER and/ or admission if we feel that is best for your child.
